Bet on You

It's so secure to get a nine to five with the promise of a solid 40hrs weekly. You wake up everyday according to someone else schedule for you. You perform at your best only to advance to something that barely compliments your hardwork. But imagine if you could reap the benefits of your hardwork and sacrifices at your own pace. You can gain control of your future and promote your own self. Dig deep into what makes you "GO". Turn what makes you happy into what supports you. Take a chance on yourself. As kids we were encouraged to dream big but somehow in the transition to adulthood we  lose confidence. No disrespect to those who go hard  at a structured job, but if you do have the courage to live out your dreams create a plan and let that job be your stepping stone to your happiness.  Be your own best bet.

Free To Be Me

With the pressures of today's world it's easy to get lost in a whirlwind of "trends". The hotspots to eat at, the newest hair styles to sport, the latest shoes to rock.  The definition for trend is: a general course followed. There's nothing wrong with being trendy or finding yourself gravitating to a group who shares similar thoughts.  It's good being able to identify with others but, how do you standout from the crowd? What sets you apart from  the masses is what makes you YOU. Don't be afraid to go against the grain and let your individuality sparkle, you may just be blazing a trail that haven't been explored yet. I would suggest identifying who you are so you can recognize the great qualities you have to offer. It's absolutely nothing  wrong with following trends or being the unique one and setting them.

Grind to Glory

Work pays but hard work pays off. It's true that nothing in life is free. Whether there's a monetary cost or you're paying with your time everything has a price, and success is no exception. All of us dream. Some of us dream small and some of us dream on a grander scale.  But with no actions behind our dreaming, a dream is nothing more than a wasted thought, but it doesn't have to be. How much would you pay to see your dreams attained? Would you invest your entire life to your cause? Would you give up all activities that didn't put you closer to your dreams? Would you sacrifice sleep, popularity, fun, anything standing in the way of your success? Not all of us want to pay that price but for those of us who do, realize that it's not cheap but know the outcome will be equivalent to all the work you invest.  What's your future worth to you?

Building a future.

I've heard the saying "it takes a village to raise a child." I agree with this one hundred percent but it doesn't end there. What happens once that child is an adult? Do we only focus on the children? What about the young men and women who have dreams to do something positive that can give back to the youth but is lacking the support of their community? Help doesn't only include a dollar amount. An investment of TIME is way more valuable than throwing money around.  If we join together we can have more of an impact than standing alone. We need to overcome this "crabs in a barrel" syndrome and unite. If we uplift each other it would be much easier to reach the top and help the others at the bottom. This is just my thoughts, but it's up to all of us to take action.
